I.      Call to order
Matthew Kang called to order the regular meeting of the CIA at 1:40 pm on February 16, 2013
II.      Opening Prayer
III.      Roll call
Majesta conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: Mr. & Mrs. Argue, Mr. Kang&Mrs. Kang  Mrs. Ellis,Matt, Mia, Hannah, Majesta, and Joshua.
IV.      Approval of minutes from last meeting
Majesta read the minutes from the last meeting. The minutes were approved as read.
V.      Review Parliamentary Procedures  - Mr. Argue
VI.      Open issues
VII.                  a) Revised Club Logo choices  presented by Mia
-          I and A inside the C
-          Mia presented  the  revised logos 
                                 VIII.                        Result-   Mia will make the C black and the cross white 
IX.                            b)  Fundraising
Mr. Argue presented a presentation on the purpose of fundraiseing
-          Key points :
·          Working is a way to say “ thank you” to God for the ability to work  (Deut. 8:18)
·         Giving to God is a way to store treasures in heaven ( Matt.6:20)
·         Giving to God is a wise investment and pays good returns (Mal. 3:10)
·         Working can make you rich (Prov. 10:4)
-          Proposed amendment to by laws
“Fundraising and giving are essential activities of club members. The biblical reasons for fundraising are are: (1) to honor God who gives us the ability to work and earn money; (2) To invest in Christian ministries and organizations and thereby store treasures in heaven; (3) to earn money to support the club, ourselves, our families, and to help others.”
-          Ideas : Jamba juices to sell at class days  , Class day  t-shirts

XI.                        c) Guest speaker ( Mrs. Dankins)
-          Started working for a man that bought the restate  of deceased  helping to sell she made 20% of all profits
-          Sells on eBay : She listed the item at a low price creating a bidding war and as a result of that receives a tidy sum
-          She sometimes relisted: if the item does not sell the first time you try again
-          Warnings: eBay takes 10% of all profit, need to have pal pay to get buyers, shipping and handling has to add up unless you lose money.
-           Has a photography business call A Glimpse in Time 
-          Created it because she needed money for supplies for the multiple  photo shoots she had
XII.       Card making
a)      Sell at Co-op : this Thursday  8:30 – 3:30
b)      Scanning little kids drawing as cards : possible promote a contest to get drawings

XIV.      New business
a)      Meeting times and dates – Every other Saturday from 1:30 pm
b)       Motion to change   Bylaws  to allow Luke argue to join the club Gmail account requirement for club membership
-          Will not change bylaws but will allow exceptions
-            Luke Argue accepted into the  club
c)      Formalities
-          Not as formal but still maintaining order

February 2, 2013

I.      Call to order
Matthew Kang called to order the regular meeting of the CIA at 3:06 pm on February 2, 2013 online
II.      Opening Prayer

Majesta conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: :  Mr. & Mrs. Argue, Mr. Kang Matt, Mia, Hannah, Majesta, Deborah and Joshua.
IV.      Approval of minutes from last meeting
Majesta read the minutes from the last meeting. The minutes were approved as read.
V.      Review Parliamentary Procedures  - Mr. Argue

a)      Club Logo choices  presented by Mia
Was in between two logo choices
-          I and A inside the C
-          CIA with cross and full written out name at the bottom 
Result-   Mia will a variation  of the I and A inside the C with a cross
b)      Making you website
Hannah will send out a link to help you complete Your blog spot
Deadline February 16 (next meeting )
You will talk about
-          Your background
-           Your future plans  etc.
c)      Selling cards
-          Sell cards at class days
-          Deadline by march 1 ( if we do not sell, by this date we will sell collectively)


VII.      New business
a)      Meeting times and dates – Every other Saturday from 1:30 pm
b)      Add to Bylaws Gmail account requirement for club membership
The Club discussed the importance of having a Gmail account to promote ease of communication, access to Google Drive and allow for video conferencing among other things.
A motion was made by Hannah to amend the Club’s bylaws to make having a Gmail account as a requirement for Club membership.  The motion was seconded by Mia .  The motion was approved by unanimous vote.
